2017 Seniors

Although I haven't had as many senior sessions this year as I would like, things have been CRAZY BUSY and I am loving every minute of it. So far, I have done 3 sweetie senior sessions and I have COUNTLESS favorites that I can't wait to share with you guys!

A Farm Engagement

I get really anxious when I have to drive somewhere in the country. I never know if I am going to lose service and SIRI will just stop telling me where to go. Sometimes, the entire way I try to plan how I were to get back home if such a horrific thing ever happened but thank goodness a few weeks ago, I had service the entire time that I drove to Cory's family farm!!

Cory and Lauren were incredible to work with and the whole evening was something out of a fairy tale that I was so lucky to capture. With Cory's dad on the tractor in the field and their Saint Bernard always staying close by to Lauren feeding her cows, it was truly a wonderful time.

Congratulations Lauren and Cory! I cannot wait for the big day in October!

Yoga: Therapy in Pictures

Today I got to work with one of my favorite people again... Lainy! I did her boudoir photos last year and she is such a blast and likes to fill my head with precious compliments. Needless to say we both leave her shoots feeling better about ourselves.

About a month ago, Lainy got a hold of me for photos of her at the yoga studio. I have done shots for the studio in the past but nothing one on one such as this. Once I got there, it became clear why she wanted these photos done. Yoga is a huge part of Lainy's life. Like 99% of us these days, she is stressed out with everyday life and takes refuge in the studio. Instead of taking the latest pill on the market, her yoga practice is very important to her and has become part of her soul. Another reason why these photos were so important to her; she found herself going through old family albums and looking at faces she had only heard of but never got to meet. She always wondered what these family members were like? Who were they? What was important to them? Lainy decided she wanted the generations after her to know what she was like and what was so important to her: her yoga practice.

Life is hectic, life is crazy and sometimes we all need a few minutes to ourselves to really appreciate the simple moments in life and recharge our souls. Sometimes we just need a little sunshine, a great cup of coffee and feeling the wind in our hair.

Looking up from underneath, Fractured moonlight on the sea, Reflections still look the same to me as before I went under

Looking up from underneath, Fractured moonlight on the sea, Reflections still look the same to me as before I went under

And it's peaceful in the deep, cathedral where you cannot breathe No need to pray, no need to speak. Now I am under all

And it's peaceful in the deep, cathedral where you cannot breathe
No need to pray, no need to speak. Now I am under all

Oh, and it's breaking over me A thousand miles out to the sea bed Found the place to rest my head

Oh, and it's breaking over me
A thousand miles out to the sea bed
Found the place to rest my head

And the arms of the ocean are carrying me And all this devotion was rushing over me And the questions I have for a sinner like me But the arms of the ocean deliver me

And the arms of the ocean are carrying me
And all this devotion was rushing over me
And the questions I have for a sinner like me
But the arms of the ocean deliver me

Though the pressure's hard to take It's the only way I can escape It seems a heavy choice to make

Though the pressure's hard to take
It's the only way I can escape
It seems a heavy choice to make

And it's breaking over me A thousand miles down to the sea bed I found the place to rest my head

And it's breaking over me
A thousand miles down to the sea bed
I found the place to rest my head

And it's over and I'm going under But I'm not giving up I'm just giving in

And it's over and I'm going under
But I'm not giving up
I'm just giving in

Oh, slipping underneath So cold and so sweet

Oh, slipping underneath
So cold and so sweet

In the arms of the ocean, so sweet and so cold And all this devotion, well, I never knew at all And the questions I have for a sinner released In the arms of the ocean deliver me

In the arms of the ocean, so sweet and so cold
And all this devotion, well, I never knew at all
And the questions I have for a sinner released
In the arms of the ocean deliver me

Deliver me Never let me go, never let me go

Deliver me
Never let me go, never let me go

But I'm not giving up I'm just giving in

But I'm not giving up
I'm just giving in

Mr. Tim & Mr. Travis on an early Fall day...

Is it weird that I almost cried this morning while finishing this gallery and want this wedding to happen all over again because it was THAT MUCH FUN?!

Tim and Travis were married on a beautiful early fall day, September 4th, 2015 at MKJ Farms. 1 day after I got my wisdom tooth extracted to be exact.

It was a WONDERFUL day filled with family, close friends, laughter, making a TON of memories, funny faces, and really good food that I couldn't eat.

Thank goodness for Jessica (my second shooter)! She did an amazing job and listened to me complain the whole time about how much pain I was in. Tim and Travis also babied me that day. While Tim and Travis were waiting for everyone to congregate so they did the cake cutting, I leaned in and calmly said " Lets get this cake cutting going because its the only thing I can eat and I am STARVING!" Those two sweetie pies were nice enough to give me the first slice of cake!

All in all I have to say this was one of those weddings where I find myself pinching myself afterwards because I cannot believe that I got to be apart of such an amazing day full of just the most incredible love you can ever imagine. Tim and Travis are absolutely perfect for one another. During their day, it was not an unlikely scene to see Tim busting some crazy move or saying some wild thing while Travis sat quietly in the background just admiring the man that he got to marry that day.

I cannot thank you sweeties enough for letting me be apart of such an AMAZING experience. I truly wish you nothing but the best in life and love. XoXo Chelsea

I have been lucky to shoot many weddings over these past couple of years but I have never photographed one of my really good friends wedding until Sheena and Jesse's this past summer!

It was a truly beautiful day at the Arrowhead Lodge. From homemade flower crowns thanks to the crafty bride, to touching details, to HILARIOUS speeches, beer in a canoe, fanny packs, groomsmen hoola-hooping, constant laughter, "WHERE IS PETE", and of course a TON of reminiscing.

Thank you so much Sheena and Jesse for letting me be apart of such an amazing day!

August. 22. 2015

I love this wedding so much I want to keep it to myself! Good thing I love this happy couple more and cannot wait to deliver it to them.

Ryan and Cristina were married on a hot summers day at his families farm, Wheelock Farms. It was a beautiful wedding full of huge personalities, a lot of laughs, a ton of smiles and of course some joking around from the groomsmen.

I am beyond grateful that I was apart of such a beautiful day. Not only was I able to capture some truly precious moments, I walked away with friendships with some truly amazing people.

I hope the days come easy, and the moments pass slow and each road leads you where you want to go. XoXoXo Chelsea

Green Eyed Gal

A few weeks ago, Meghan, her awesome Mom and I, tried out best to squeeze in a Senior Portrait shoot while we still had some beautiful lighting. Between outfit changes behind buildings and bushes to clouds to Meghan trudging her way through hip high grass filled with creepy, crawler spiders; Meghan managed to STUN during her session and was truly a pleasure to shoot with.

I wish you all the best during your last year of high school. May you always look back upon fond memories full of laughter.

Precious Maternity Session

This year has been so busy between taking on a full time job, weddings, boudoir sessions and engagements that I only did ONE maternity session so far this year!! This shoot with Shannon was a lot different for me because I work with her, I actually saw how much PLANNING goes into photo sessions. I knew that outfits, makeup and props were thought about but I didn't know how much until very recently! This session hit home and made it one of my favorite maternity sessions I've ever done.

Be sure to tell Shannon how beautiful she looks and how well Paul did!
